This series of Ernest Eugene Kramer's expedition and travel diaries comprises one exercise book, four notebooks and a looseleaf manuscript (stored in an Albox album). Stored with the manuscript is a typed transcription. The exercise book includes a diary of a journey from Adelaide to Alice Springs, possibly in 1925. Two notebooks are rough or field notes of Kramer's 'South West Expedition' in 1928; the manuscript is a written up version of the same expedition. A third notebook includes rough or field notes of a trip in 1931 west and north-west of Alice Springs. The fourth notebook includes notes of a trip to Alice Springs in 1952.

This series comprises three exercise books and two notebooks. Three exercise books and one notebook relate to the Aranda [Arrernte] language, and were probably used by Ernest E Kramer in his study of that language from 1925. A second notebook contains aphorisms in Ernest E Kramer's hand.

This series comprises two notebooks. The first is a travel dairy by Euphemia Kramer beginning in May 1935 of the Kramers' trip to the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The second notebook continues the account of the trip, from September 1935, and also includes an account of the Kramers' life from that time to Ernest E Kramer's death in 1958.
