Description

This series comprises personal correspondence to and from Tindale for the period 1932.
Tindale's role at the South Australian Museum, during 1932, was of part-time Ethnlogist and Assistant Entomologist, however correspondence reveals Tindale's intent to relinquish the latter role in favour of his anthropological interests.

Correspondence in this series reveals the consistent acquisition of ethnographic artefacts for the Museum's Australian Aboriginal Cultures collection, from both individual collectors and institutions including the National Museum Melbourne, the Shepherdson Collection, LR Kurtze (see AA 561), Kenneth Hewitson Thomas (see AA 336) and private dealer Frank Munro.

Correspondence has been arranged in chronological order.
