Description

This series comprises personal correspondence to and from Tindale for the period 1931. Correspondence reveals the South Australian Museum's focus on acquiring Australian ethnographic material illustrating technological, cultural, and social processes, for which Tindale was heavily involved. The acquisition of objects for inclusion in the World Cultures collection including, Native American, Pacific and South American cultural material, is noted throughout the correspondence.
