|Quantity||4.5 cm, 378 positive 110/220 format film images|
|Provenance||Aborigines' Friends' Association|
This series comprises one album of 110/220 format black and white photographic film negatives which are copies of individual nitrate negatives. These 110/220 format film copies were created in 1980 due to the unstable nature of nitrate film. There are a total of 378 images in this series; all except eight of these, have corresponding nitrate negatives (see series AA 1/73). Since the 110/220 format negatives are copies of other negatives the images on the 110/220 format film are positive images. These images have been digitally scanned and printed and can be veiwed in series AA 1/68 'Catalogue of Nitrate Negatives'.
The images depict a wide variety of subjects including Australian Aboriginals, ceremonial scenes, missionaries and mission stations, contact and contemporary life, transport, and numerous scenic images. Some of these images were probably photographed by the missionaries Ernest E Kramer (see AA 669) and Harrie E Green (see AA 113).
Note: A plus symbol (+) is used in the listings to differentiate these positive images and this album from the other negatives in the collection e.g. 110/220+ (for the film format) and NegLarge+0001(for album page numbers).
